Statue of Eros

In the heart of Piccadilly Circus sits the famous Eros statue, a popular landmark many tourists choose to take their photographs next to. Contrary to what many may believe, the Eros statue is in fact not the Greek god of love but a memorial to the Earl of Shaftesbury, a philanthropist who did much good in the area.
